Spotlight on the Arts

Long ago, we learned that our students have tremendous talents in the fine and performing arts.

To help support those efforts, we encourage elementary, middle and high school art teachers to have their students' works displayed in our lobbies for our members to see - and appreciate.

These works of art stay up on our walls for several weeks and then are replaced by other wonderful efforts.

In the 2007-08 school year, we've had students from 18 different schools display their works on our walls. In addition, we support the performing arts through a variety of sponsorships, including concerts, art festivals and community performances.

Billboard Contest

An annual tradition, our Student Billboard Contest is looked forward to by student designers throughout our member districts.

Not only does the winning design go "Up in Lights," but the winner also receives a $250 cash prize.

The winning design is up each year during the month of May on a major thoroughfare in our market area.
