Learn2Earn - Savings Day
To make the world of money a reality to young people, we assist our school partners by helping them open and operate student-run credit unions within the schools themselves. Not only does this teach valuable skills to students working in their school, but gives all students life lessons in savings and finance - using real money.

Each participating student also get a personal savings account - complete with all the benefits of credit union membership.
As part of the program this is what we do:
- Customize: We create a working school credit union that meets the needs of students in that building.
- Design: We meet with the principal and key teachers to map out the scope of the project.
- Establish: We provide the materials needed to start up a credit union - from forms to calculators.
- Organize: We ask for applications from students to run their credit union, and then interview, hire and train them.
- Operate: We supervise the entire operation, working with our student staff on specific "Savings Days."
- Manage: We deposit each student's monies into their own personal account, which is always available.
- Encourage: We help each school create its own project-oriented savings program, helping make things like summer camp a reality.
